The five year old daughter of Steven Curtis Chapman, my favorite contemporary Christian music artists died this morning in a terrible accident. Maria Sue Chapman was playing in the driveway with other friends. Her brother was driving an SUV and didn’t see the youngest child of SCC and his wife Mary Beth.
When I heard about this while driving Peanut to school this morning we both were so upset. We’ve seen Steven Curtis Chapman in concert. He always talks about his children and advocates for adoption. Mary Sue was one of the children the couple adopted from China. I feel like a member of my family is hurting.
We’re praying for the family, especially the son who must feel terrible about this accident.
