• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • A Week Of Medical Appointments

May 19th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

I haven’t been feeling well lately. Not anything that I can say for sure what it is, but I know something isn’t right. I’ve been weak and tired, having stomach pain, the dry eyes and mouth from Sjogren’s has been worse and even some of the Myasthenia Gravis Symptoms have been rearing their ugly heads.

At my Opthomologist’s appointment I ended up getting two more tear duct plugs put in as the doctor saw how dry my eyes were. At my Gastro doc’s appointment, he scheduled me for a CT scan of my abdomen because he’s not sure of what’s going on with me. He also prescribed a different form of potassium for me to take as my body’s not absorbing the pill form.

Today I saw my Rhuematologist. He noticed some weird things going on with my blood work. I ususually want to know everything but not this time. I just took his word for it. He said that the inflammatory process is acting up so that will add to feeling off like I’ve been.

Tomorrow is the CT scan. Wednesday is my appointment at the MDA with my Neurologist. I think I have something to do on Friday but I can’t remember now. And Friday I go for an echocardiogram.

Enough is enough already! That waiting room annoyance, sitting in exam rooms with paper gowns and having to drink yucky stuff that will make my insides glow in the dark is getting to be a bit too much for me.

I have to admit that I’m usually positive but lately I’ve been a bit depressed. It will pass when this passes. And I know that my bag of tricks are being put to use now. Sorry for the rant. I just needed to do it.

I had a rough day today with my 3 kids all making bad decisions but yeah… this too shall pass and one day they will grow up! right? Take care of yourself!
