So Far So Good

Yesterday Lady Ali and her fiance came to visit, spent most of the day, had dinner with us and then left for Kansas. They acted with such maturity, explaining things over and over to each one of us that asked the same questions. They had handled the move very well. They had most of their belonging shipped. They also bought new furniture from Ikea and had them shipped. In the long run it was less expensive this way and it was less worries for them.

Fiance is already enrolled in college. He has only one more year to go. Lady Ali just needs to go for her interview at the grad school and I’m sure she’ll be accepted. They both have job prospects. Their future looks bright.

Lady Ali and I got Peanut out of school early yesterday. This is the same elementary school that she graduated from. So being able to bring her there and show her off made me forget about things and focus on how proud I am of her. It was fun for Peanut to show her off too.

We had a great meal together. We had pot roast and noodles and since Fiance is a vegetarian we had spaghetti and shrimp too. We had some good laughs and enjoyed the time together. When it became time for them to leave we took a group photo. My Mom and Aunt were here so it was nice to have a photo of all of us. I’ll post some of the photos we took.

I have to tell you that my daughters have a great sense of humor. I was able to appreciate Fiance’s sense of humor even more yesterday. The proof is the pictures:
