• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Battered But Back

April 19th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

    Big Truck
Two days ago, I had a late start to my day and ended up being behind in a lot of the things I needed to do. I felt the stress hitting me. I was trying my best to relax but it got the better of me.

I ended up with a migraine. I’m on a preventative so the migraines I get now are far and few between. They also don’t even feel very painful. This one though made me feel like I got hit by a truck. It not only hurt, it made me feel weak, sick to my stomach and unable to look at anything.

When that happens I end up in bad with the door closed, an eye mask covering my eyes and wishing I could check into a quiet condo hotel with a private nurse.

The next day the pain wasn’t that bad but I felt so weak that I could hardly move. The muscle weakness was definitely a flare up of the Myasthenia Gravis. I had trouble with my vision, couldn’t lift my arms over my head and even had some swallowing problems. But I took my medications on time. I pretty much slept the day away.

Today, thank God, I’m feeling so much better. I’m still a bit weak but I took it easy and just did a few things around the house. Peanut was a big help to me today. I hugged and kissed her, telling her that I can see how much she’s growing up. She really is!

Glad to hear that you’re feeling better! I’ve been so busy trying to get things done while Amanda’s been gone that I’ve been horribly remiss in reading posts and keeping up with everyone. The party is over tomorrow and Amanda will be home – that week went so fast!
