I’ve got a long road ahead of me coming up very soon. I’ll be co-chairing our church’s Single Mother’s Appreciation Day. This is an annual event that we hold the weekend before Mother’s Day. It’s always a ministry that I humbly feel led to take part in.
I have a great “partner in crime”, my wonderful friend Darlene. We work together very well and have done so since we met. We fill in each other’s gaps. When I’m freaking out over something, she has a plan to get it done. When she’s having a bad day, I get her to laugh. And so it goes.
There’s so much to do to get ready for this event. We’re getting volunteers lined up now. Both of us have our own goals to accomplish and then we’ll be talking to each other almost every day for the next 3 weeks.
I’ll post about the progress and what we have planned. I hope that other churches will consider doing a ministry like this in the future.
