Your husband is right, sometimes you just have to let your parents do whatever they want. When my Dad got drunk a lot because his business was failing (and had a lot of debt), there wasn't much I could do but to tell him I'm there if he needs me. I couldn't stop what he was doing, but I could at least tell him what I was thinking. Your husband is right, sometimes you just have to let your parents do whatever they want.
