• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Leftovers

March 24th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

I love leftovers! They make my life so easy and carefree. I don’t have to think about what to cook, remember to defrost it, listen to Peanut complain that she doesn’t like what I’m making and then cook an entire dinner that in all likelihood only I will eat.

Leftovers and microwaves make my day go smoothly. I just heat up a dish for everyone individually. They feel empowered by choosing what they want to eat that way. I use paper dishes and then throw them away when I’m done.

Today we had leftovers from Easter. There was a lot of food left so it was easy to heat up something for everyone including my Mom and Aunt. We had honey baked ham, baked potatoes, broccoli and a salad. Everything was yummy yesterday. Today it was even better. There’s something about food tasting better the next day. Is it laziness making my tummy believe that or is it true?

It’s true – so many things taste even better as leftovers the next day.
