Tomorrow Peanut has the day off from school. She stayed up late and we’ll probably both sleep in. I can’t wait! Then we’ll get some eggs from the store. We’ll boil them so by the evening they’ll be cool enough to color. This is our annual tradition. We make eggs for every member of our family. Peanut likes to use the wax sticks to write names before they’re dipped in the coloring. We both like to do two or more different colors.
One tradition I won’t be doing is making Pizza Rustica. It is very labor intensive as well as expensive to make. I’ll probably be the only one to eat it any way so that would be a waste.
Saturday is our annual Easter Egg Hunt at church. I’m going to be doing temporary tattoos on the children this year. We usually have about 60 children attending. Every child gets something to go home with including a Bible story and some candy.
After church on Sunday we hide plastic eggs for Peanut to find. We usually put some small change in some of the eggs. It’s just something fun to do. I wonder how much longer she’ll be willing to do this. She’s growing up so much.

Hi Connie!
One of my greatest memories of when my boys were little was Easter egg coloring. Boys are not gentle! We had 18 eggs to color and not one of them got colored without suffering a crack in it! I can still see the boys little hands dripping with all the different colors, dropping the eggs in and splashing everywhere. LOL!
