• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Easter Plans

March 14th, 2008 by Connie Roberts

    palm sunday

This Palm Sunday our church will have a procession of the children walking down the aisle singing and carrying palms. Palm Sunday signifies the day that Jesus entered Jerusalem and was met by crowds of people who put down in his path their cloaks and palms. This symbolized them worshiping him. This was a glorious day for our Lord and Savior. We continue to celebrate this day now.

Maundy Thursday we will be having a noon time service to celebrate Jesus’ Last Supper. On Good Friday we remember and thank Jesus for dying on the cross for us and for our sins. We think of the pain and the suffering he endured. This is a solemn day.

Easter Sunday is a day of great celebration. Jesus has risen from the dead! Through his sacrifice we who have accepted him as Lord and Savior are guaranteed eternal life. We have a worship service at church that focuses on Jesus and how much we worship and love him.

At my home we do give Peanut an Easter basket with some candy. We make colored Easter the day before. We do not believe in the Easter Bunny though. And no large gifts are given. Our focus is on Jesus rising from the dead.
