Police Unity Tour

My dear friend is taking part in the Police Unity Tour for the second year. This charity event is special to him and it should be special to us. The non-profit named the Police Unity Tour of Florida Inc. not only memorializes Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty, they also provide support to widows or widowers and children who are left behind. The Officers who take part in this bike tour are assigned a family that lives close by to keep in contact with, to invite them for holidays, to be there for them emotionally, etc. Please click her to donate.

“The Police Unity Tour of Florida Incorporated was organized in an effort to bring about public awareness of law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty and to honor their sacrifices. Currently there have been more than 17,900 officers killed in the line of duty in the United States dating back to 1792. The motto of the Police Unity Tour is simple, yet poignant, “We ride for those who died.” Additionally, we assist the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund with monetary support. This mission is primarily accomplished through an annual bicycle trek from various points across the United States to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, located in Washington, D.C. Chapter VIII is of the Police Unity Tour is located in Florida with members throughout the South but welcomes members from all states.” (from Police Unity Tour of Florida Incorporated)

This is an awesome thing the men and women do for the fallen officers. We are so proud of everyone involved. It takes alot of determination to ride for 3 days from Portsmouth Va. to Washington DC. Thank you for all you do.

We consider this Unity Tour as a “ministry” of the police department. Thanks for all you do in helping to protect our families and for taking care of the families of the fallen heroes!
