Nope I’m not putting it off. I’m doing it. I’ve begun my battle with procrastination. One of my worst habits is letting the mail pile up. Then I have triple the work to do. First I have to find the mail. It’s usually all over the house in areas where I put it but forgot about it. Then I have to go through it all by trashing the junk mail, opening the “real” mail and then filing or paying bills, etc.
The last straw was when I began to go through a mess of papers. I found a rebate that Hubby got on the last day of the allowed time to purchase paint. He gave it to me along with the receipt the day he bought the paint. That was over three weeks ago. When I found the receipt first I went scrambling through the papers and mail to find the rebate form. Wouldn’t you know it? The last date for it to be postmarked was the day before. Ugh! $10 down the drain.
Since then I’ve been going through the mail the minute I get it. I wrote down on my very short “to do” list that I need to find a way to lessen our junk mail. That will be a real time saver for me. That’s another thing I’ve learned – my lists have to be short and broken down into easy to complete steps. If I don’t do that I get overwhelmed.
I’m on my way. I’ll keep you up to date on how I’m doing. I’d love to hear if you have a problem with procrastinating and if you are working on it. Maybe we can share some tips.

Why take care of the mail when you could be reading blogs instead? That’s my problem…
