I’m proud to say that I’ve raised one very independent thinking young woman who loves school, reading, being a computer geek and a self-proclaimed nerd. She has accomplished so much in her young life like taking dual enrollment in high school and still graduating a year early, earning a full college scholarship, and graduating college a year early. She’s always had her own style and never cared what others thought. I admire her for not bending to peer pressure and remaining her own individual self.
My younger daughter is beginning to show her independence. She is a computer geek too, is intelligent and isn’t embarrassed about it, enjoys school, especially PE, Science and reading, video games and considers herself a tomboy. She has her own sense of style too. She’s already thinking about what she wants to be when she grows up and it’s not your typical girl professions. She wants to join the Air Force and become a pilot, a meteorologist or a veterinarian.
Her ambitions have no boundaries. That makes me happy and proud. I’m seeing that girls today don’t feed into the belief that there are male and female careers and that they can have it all. I saw this “Science is Cool” shirt on Girl Mogul and think that it fits my younger daughter to a tee. She’s getting A’s in Science, enjoys the experiments, her text book and all that goes along with learning about nature, the weather, etc.

Some other shirts say “Future Leader of the World”, “I Like Math”, “Computer Geek” and “Reach for the Stars”. I like that there’s infant, toddler and even adult sizes for this very inspiring clothing. There are also notepads, journals, mousepads and other items. What a great gift idea.
