Since I’m not Wesley Snipes I have to start to get my family’s paperwork in order for our annual Federal Taxes. This is one of the things I hate to do the most. As I said in my earlier post I’m not good with remembering things. I’ve always had trouble with Math and it’s worse now.
Of course I don’t do our taxes. I wouldn’t even try, but I try to get as much done as possible. I have a folder started with the paperwork we’re starting to get in the mail now and we got during the year like for our charitable donations. And of course I have all of the medical and prescription bills from 2007.
That’s where my work comes in. I have to go through those and separate them by doctor. Then I write down the number of times of visits for each doctor and multiply it by the mileage to and from the office. Don’t forget tolls! This really adds up for us.
This year my cousin is going to do our taxes. I’m really looking forward to this. It’s nice to have someone you can rely on to help you with something so important. This is one of my cousins that I had lost touch with over the years but came back into my life because of the death of my Uncles. Having her help and friendship may make tax season not so bad after all.

My taxes are pretty simple but I can’t file them until I get the 1099 from PayPerPost and it hasn’t arrived yet and is holding up the whole cycle. Normally by now I’ve got my taxes filed and the money from my return already in my bank account but not this year. It’s really quite frustrating and I keep wondering when that darn form is going to get here!
