Today was Peanut’s turn to visit a Specialist. No way that I want her to be seeing any more of them. One was enough (I just realized she’s seen three all together including her recent visit with the oral surgeon. So three’s enough). She’s actually seen him before but today was her testing day. The new Allergist we’re using is great. He works very well with children and Peanut and him got along just fine.
First was her test with a nurse. I liked her a lot. She was nice but firm. The minute Peanut started to complain about getting tested she took over and got her in line. We need more nurses like her! Peanut did us proud again today. She got all of the the testing done and stayed on her back until it was time for the nurse to check on her.
Then it was time to visit the Allergist. We learned that Peanut is pretty much allergic to outdoors here in Florida. She’s also allergic to cats, dogs, dust mites and mold. Hubby had asked the doctor why Peanut wasn’t tested for insect bites as he is highly allergic to bee and wasp stings. He goes into anaphylactic shock. Because of this he has to wear medical jewelry to alert anyone in case of being stung.
The doctor explained that children are not tested for insects unless they’ve had a previous allergic reaction. There’s also no reason to think that Peanut will be allergic to insects because Hubby is.
We learned a lot today. We’re going to have to make some changes around our home but the doctor did not advise us that we have to find a new home for our fur baby, our cat, Little Bit.
Among the major spreading diseases allergy is the common one especially if we talk about dog allergies. A large variety of air filters is available in market those provide clean air. In this competitive market prices of dehumidifier are decreasing because of increasing market competition.

Cheers to Peanut for being so brave! My girls both had to have allergy testing when they were younger and it wasn’t fun at all. That’s horrible that she’s allergic to the outdoors in Florida – what do you do about something like that?
Linda’s last blog post..I’ve Got A Question – You’ve Got An Answer
I’d be careful around the bees and wasps if your husband is allergic to them just to be safe. My father is allergic to bees and Benadryl. I didn’t find these things out until AFTER I had been stung and taken Benadryl. At least you know ahead of time and can be prepared somewhat.
