We’re always getting postcards when we go to Disney World. We write something quick on them and then mail them from Disney being sure they get the Disney World postmark to make them extra special. The Post Office even put out Disney postcards for sale. We own every one of them! Why would you think otherwise? The people that get our cards remember them. It makes them feel special that we took the time to find one that they like, be it a character or particular place at Disney.
Have you thought about using postcards to promote your business, to save a date for your upcoming wedding or shower, to invite your community to a church event, to ask for volunteers for a charity? There’s a lot of uses for postcards and Vista Print probably has them all covered.
I’ve used postcards in the past as our Christmas cards. I had to do this in a store and not online. We didn’t get to see what the postcards would look like until they were done and if I didn’t like them it was too bad unless there was a problem with their printing.
Making custom postcards with Vista Print allows you to see the outcome before you purchase. That’s one less thing to worry about. They also offer a Lowest Price Guarantee and a Satisfaction Guarantee.
There are templates already designed for your use. You can choose them by Industry. Some examples are Computers and Technology, Fashion, Religious and Spiritual, Travel, Professional Services, etc. You can also choose by Styles like Patriotic, Illustrations, Wild and Bold, etc.
The ones that caught my attention were the wedding ones. What a great idea for the Bride and Groom on a budget! The template ones looked lovely. They had some cute ones as well as some that looked elegant. Envelopes are also offered at a separate cost so that can add to the “invitation feel”.
My church is in a growing phase. We are trying to reach out to new members. I’ve received postcards from other churches and businesses in the mail. The color, feel of the card and the difference of them from the regular envelopes always makes me read them. This may be a good outreach for us knowing these factors. We now have a logo for our church so using the custom design technique would work for us.

great post! very comprehensive and quite some great thoughts!
