This is A New One

Snooze Buttonby seq

Those of you that have Fibromyalgia or any chronic illness really, know what it feels like to go to bed early, toss and turn in pain all night and then try to wake up in the morning. It’s feels a bit like you didn’t sleep at all and while you slept for a little while a two thousand pound gorilla sat on top of you.

This morning was one of those mornings. I usually set the alarm clock for an hour or more earlier than I need to wake up. So hitting the snooze button is quite common. This morning it hurt to reach over to push that button so I put the alarm clock in bed with me. This way it was in reach and I just had to move my hand a bit.

All of a sudden (it really wasn’t a sudden) Peanut comes into my bedroom announcing that it was almost 9 AM. What? Huh? How’d that happen? I realized that in my stupor I pulled the alarm clock cord out of the wall. How did I manage that one? I’ll never know.

But it meant for rushing a lot this morning. Getting Peanut off to school, getting ready for Bible Study at church and just stressing out. Nothing like it to start my day off.

The new plan – Hubby will call from work to be sure if I’m awake on time. I feel like a kid again. Not a good feeling. But I know that once this flare up is over it’ll be back to hitting the snooze button.

I’ve been feeling the same for the last few months. No matter how long I sleep, I don’t feel refresh in the morning. I wonder why…
