I overdid it today…yes what else is new? But I’m paying for it now, what else is new about that too?
Today was The Chronic Illness Support Group at my church. We had a New Years Party since we didn’t get to have our December/Christmas party. I went to pick up the sandwiches I ordered yesterday before our meeting. When I got there the sandwiches weren’t ready and it was as if they had no idea about my order. I was fuming!
I had to get to the church to open it as the meeting was starting in a half an hour. I told the young man behind the counter that this was not a good thing. He said that he was only an employee and would do the best he could. He called the store owner and told him my dilemma.
In the mean time while I was waiting my friend called me from the church. She was outside. I told her what was happening and thank goodness, there was another group meeting so she could get into the church.
I ended up getting my sandwiches with a discount! I also got free ice for my troubles. The meeting went well. It was more of a party than a meeting. I had to rush though and not be rude to let the members know I had a doctor appointment so we needed to be out of the church hall by 12:45. People kept talking and eating and I was starting to get anxious. So I gently reminded them about my appointment.
I was able to clean up the hall quickly with my friend’s help. Then off to the doctor. By the time I left his office I was exhausted. I called Hubby who had an appointment in the VA Hospital in Tampa. He said he would pick up Peanut from school. So I went home and slept and slept.
I ended up sleeping until 6 PM. What a day! I’m off to bed in a few after I make my blog rounds. Good night!
