I finally did it! I was on my dear friend’s Blog Talk Radio Show. She’s Cheryl from Magies Place and has been a real help to me with my website and with eBay.

We talked for almost an hour about the Disabled Online Users Association (DOUA), my blogs including My Chronic Life, my Squidoo lenses and my eBay Store ShawnsBidness Collectibles. It was a blast!

I listened to myself afterwards and realized that I say “ummm” a lot and laughed too much. I also said the word “wonderful” about a hundred times. But such is life. I’m not a public speaker or a radio show guest, I mean I was today but that was a first, so I did the best I could with what I’ve got. I really wasn’t as nervous as I thought I’d be and the time flew by.

Cheryl is very kind and easy going. She told me to just think that it was the two of us talking and that’s what I did. I always talk too much anyway so I guess I was a good guest for her. There’s always ways to promote yourself on the internet. Find them, use them and have fun with them.
