Today was a busy day but a lot of fun. We had our Feast of the Seven Fishes during the day instead of at night so I could attend our church’s candlelight service. My Mom, Auntie, Peanut, friend and her son were all here. We shared the cooking and cleaning and best of all the eating.
I still feel like my cold is hanging on and not being able to take my Humira shot is making me ache. But I’m getting through thinking of the wondrous things to come.
The candlelight service was so touching. I just love attending it. Our new Pastor has such a Godly heart and it really shows. He handled this service beautifully. To sing the beautiful Christmas hymns like Away in A Manger, Oh Little Town of Bethlehem and of course Silent Night made this Christmas eve even more special.
The sermon was about not keeping the Christmas Spirit but instead keeping the Christ Spirit alive and it really got to me. My spiritual life cannot move forward unless I yield to Jesus and let Him control me. That’s my prayer for tonight and for the coming year.
My prayer for all of my blogging friends is that you have a very Merry Christmas, that you are healthy, happy and keep the real priorities in mind. Love like there’s no tomorrow.
