Spock

Spock is one of the newest search engines for people. Not only famous people but ordinary people too. It allows you to look for your old high school friend, a long lost love or even someone you’d like to make amends with (this is the perfect time of year for that).

And of course you can search for the rich, famous and infamous too. There’s the celebrities we all know like Oprah Winfrey, Britney Spears and Ike Turner. Then there’s those like Michael Vick. And his first tag that comes up is dog fighting. What did you think it would be, football?

Tags are very useful on Spock. They make up the way you search and the way members can help add to searches. Tags are bits of information about a person. If you want to add yourself to Spock then you can add tags like your blog name, your profession, the city you live in, any awards you’ve received, etc. These are identifying words.

Searching by category is another popular way to use Spock. It can be helpful for people looking for work, like bloggers. If you enter a tag such as “online advertiser” you never know. Or if you want information about your local politicians when they’re running for office you can do a search to see if you can find any hidden things from their past. You may change your vote after doing your search.

Becoming a member of Spock allows you to add and vote on tags, message other members and have your favorite searches come up first when you sign in. Using the site is free and becoming a member is free. Join and see what you can do and learn as you go along.

I spent some time searching for myself. My name is quite common. There were 123 people with the same name. But none of them were me. I even looked up friends from years ago. I found a few. One is a doctor, how cool is that? You can do a lot on this site as well as use it as a tool for blogging, writing and research projects.

Hi! You have made a nice post, and I hope you get paid for it by Creamaid. This is the third time they have not paid me for posts they have approved and added to the conversation widget. I didn’t get paid $15 for this post, nor a single cent at all. I don’t know why sometimes they pay and yet they have missed to pay 3 out of 6 posts I have written for them which have been syndicated already.
