• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Missing Disney

December 12th, 2007 by Connie Roberts

I’m going through a bit of Disney withdrawal. The last time we went to Disney World was back in September. I know that doesn’t sound like a long time but for me it is. We only went for a quick weekend trip and it was very rushed. We were worried about Uncle Joe as he was in the nursing home then. Hubby wanted me to get away for a while because when he was in the hospital it was awful.

Our next WDW trip will be December 30 – Jan. 1. We’re staying at Shades of Green which is a military hotel. I’m hoping that Peanut will listen to us this time and take a nap on Dec. 31st so she can stay awake for the New Year’s Eve fireworks. The great thing about Shades of Green is that we’re close to Magic Kingdom and we can see the fireworks without being at the park.

I really want to avoid the park on Dec. 31st. It gets too crowded and with my scooter getting around is hard. So being able to sit outside and enjoy the festivities is my cup of tea. I think we’ll do the buffet there too or go to a restaurant off site. But at least I’ll get to see my boyfriend Mickey soon. It’s tough having a long distance romance you know.
