• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

  • Wireless Landlord Association

December 8th, 2007 by Connie Roberts

Last year my church was approached by a company that leases cell phone towers. We own a large lot of land next to our church that is pretty much a wooded area. It’s set back from the road and isn’t close to any homes.

My church doesn’t conduct any business or make any decisions without a church-wide vote. First the Elders met with the company representatives to get the details. They also went to the county Building Department to learn about the rules governing cell phone towers.

We voted to sign a lease with this company but knowing now that we could have signed one directly with the major cellular companies like Sprint, AT&T, etc. makes me wonder if we could have gotten a better deal.

I’ve learned that having a cell tower lease can be very lucrative. I’m going to share the information from Wireless Landlord Association with my Pastor and our Session. This group advocates on your behalf if you already lease a tower or if you’re looking to do so. They find companies willing to lease with you if you’re new to this. They work with landowners in the United States to make this process go smoothly. They are your advocates and also look for new leases for you.

My church is looking to start a building fund and we can use the extra money. We’re a small congregation so becoming a member of Wireless Landlord Association can really help us.
