Yard Sales

Oh man it was yard sale heaven today in my neighborhood. I guess people need money for the upcoming holidays, property taxes and high cost of gas. I was so tempted.

I took Peanut to a play date and passed by at least 10 sales in the short 5 mile drive. Then when I stopped at the ATM machine on the way home I saw 3 more. There were 2 close together so I just had to stop.

I got the cutest bunny ceramic piece for Easter. It was in perfect condition, still had the box and I got them down to $2. Then I grabbed a bunch of romance paperbacks to re-sell on eBay. The women selling just wanted to get rid of their stuff. It was all nice but there wasn’t much left by the time I got there.

The next sale turned out to be just furniture so I saved myself from spending any more money there. All in all it was a small but good haul. My bunny collection has grown by one more piece. Where am I going to put all of them? I don’t know but I have to hide it from Hubby!

I never do well at yard sales. I think you have to have a talent for that sort of thing, he, he. Now my mother, on the other hand, frequents estate sales/auctions and makes out like a bandit! I never seem to get out of bed, showered, and motivated at an early enough hour.
