Black Friday

The day after Thanksgiving aka Black Friday is the day we start to decorate our house for Christmas. I’m usually exhausted from the eating too much, doing too much or worrying too much (about the dinner that’s supposed to be perfect and if my guests really enjoyed themselves). So I never get out shopping to get those great bargains.

You know the ones that people wait in line for at 4 AM. The ones where you hear that the large screen tv’s that were only $100 ran out in 5 minutes. The ones that your friends all brag about. Yes those sales. Never done it but always wanted to. If I could only wake up in time, drag myself to the store, and deal with a crowd of pushy people I’d go. Or not! Doesn’t sound like a lot of fun to me.

I love to look at the newspaper ads on Thanksgiving. There’s always things I’d love to buy because I know prices like that happen very rarely. Did you know there’s a way to avoid the hassle of Black Friday but still save a lot of money?

A website that offers you the opportunity to shop online for the same sales people are fighting over in the stores and posts the black friday 2007 ads is just what Santa ordered. You can plan your holiday shopping by signing up for email alerts for many different stores’ sales as they are posted. You’ll be in the know before the ads hit the papers.

I am thrilled to find that there’s even Disney Store specials available. There are some stores that I didn’t expect to see like AAFES which is a military base store. There’s even some Black Friday deals listed already for this store.

I’m hooked already on BlackFriday.net and can’t wait to see what else is in store as it gets closer to the Holidays.
