Peanut and I were watching Animal Planet Saturday night. We usually don’t watch tv together as I’m not into her tv shows, like Hanna Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I noticed that there was a run of the old Crocodile Hunter shows on. I never really watched his shows before, just knew of him. It was great to see how he got along with any type of animal. He had something about him, was it a way of communicating with animals, a real respect for them? It was both.
I read that yesterday from Rachel at Blue Coffee Mug’s post, September 4th was the year anniversary of Steve Irwin’s death. It’s still a shock to me. Kinda like when Princess Di was killed. These are the moments that will touch our generation for years to come.
You know how older friends say they can remember exactly what they were doing when President Kennedy died? I think some of our defining moments will be those mentioned and of course September 11th.
I’ll try to think of more and maybe do a post about it another time.
