The Fun Has To End

We had a fantabulous time at Disney World this past week. We ended up adding on two more days to our trip, can I hear a Yeah? After 7 days at Old Key West we stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort.

We ate at Crystal Palace for lunch this time instead of dinner. The food was so goooood. This is now our favorite place to eat. You can’t beat the variety and the quality of the food. We also ate lunch at Rain Forest Cafe. It was so-so. It really wasn’t anything wrong with the restaurant but we were just tired out and not feeling very hungry.

Since we did 2 lunches instead of dinners, we had a dinner out at the Shades of Green (Military) Hotel. We had the buffet. It was really awful and we felt like we wasted our money there. Oh well, most of the time the food is pretty good.

Some new things we did this trip:

-Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory – we went twice because it was so good. Peanut wanted to sit in the back the second time instead of with the handicap seats with me. She hoped she’d get picked to talk. She didn’t but it was still really a good laugh.

-Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Peanut got her hair, nails and makeup done while dressed as the Little Mermaid. (No we didn’t spend $60 on a costume from Disney – we do have our sources!) It was so much fun for her, me and hubby. She looked gorgeous, well more gorgeous than she normally does.

-Caribbean Beach Resort – it was a very lovely resort. It had a tropical feel with the water all around, the palm trees, flowering shrubs and even baby banana plants. After being in a large one bedroom suite it’s difficult to get used to sleeping in a regular hotel room. It felt a bit claustrophic and the beds were tiny compared to the king size one in our old room. But we were hardly in the room at all.

Peanut loved the pools especially the themed pool with it’s waterfall, slide and castle decor. She liked having tons of other little ones to play with more. She went swimming almost every day we were at WDW. She’s getting much better with her swimming.

– Visiting the new DVC Animal Kingdom room model. Oh boy if we win the lottery. We’ll be adding points there. Unreal is all I can say. But more on this for another time.

All in all, another excellent trip. And even though it was 9 days long it was hard to leave. And yes we’re planning our next one already!
