• About

I’m a wife and mom of two daughters. My daughters are 12 years apart so that keeps me quite busy and a little crazy at times. My life is a jumble of mixed up mishaps, but it’s always centered around my family.

    MIA

    May 31st, 2007

Ooh I’ve missed blogging. I really have. But things have been a bit lopsided or out of whack with my health. I’ve been having some pretty bad headaches, not sure if they’re exactly migraines or not and feeling sick. Have a bit of a cough too. I go to my rheumy tomorrow for my B12 shot so I’ll ask him to check me out. I know he’s going to send me for a chest x-ray as he hinted at it last time when I said I’ve been coughing a bit.

So sad to say I’ve been having to push myself (bad I know) as it was Peanut’s last few days of school before Summer break. Next week is VBS (Vacation Bible School) at my church. So I had to get some things ready for the class I’m teaching.

Well push yourself when you have multiple chronic illnesses and you know what you get? Sicker. When will I ever learn? I have to get those limits, those boudaries right. This is still the process I’m going through. After four years you’d think I’d get the hang of it.

My rheumy told me not to do too little and not to do too much. I told him when he learns what the happy medium is or if I do first we’ll be rich!

    Memorial Day

    May 25th, 2007

Oh yeah a long weekend coming up. With Peanut’s school coming to an end this is going to be a really fun weekend. She has a playdate tomorrow here. She’s so excited! She’ll get to show off her messy room and all of her stuff and play video games and hopefully pull out some of her toys that have been sitting collecting dust.

Peanut’s been coming out of her shell nicely. It’s fun to see her become the social butterfly she once was as a toddler again. Now half the time she’s on the phone with friends and I have to ask to use it.

Sunday will be church, then a meal out to celebrate my aunt’s birthday. Monday prolly will be a day at my friend’s house with an indoor barbeque – her hubby grills while we eat inside.

But let’s not forget the real reason for this weekend. Especially with all of the horrible things going on in Iraq. So please say a pray for our soldiers there, and other parts of the world where they’re in difficult circumstances, away from their families and trying to make it through another day.

And for those who’ve lost their lives in any war or conflict. What a sacrifice, what a legacy. Thank you and God Bless the families and loved ones touched by this tragedy.

(AP) As of Friday, May 25, 2007, at least 3,443 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civilians. At least 2,809 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military’s numbers.

The AP count is 10 higher than the Defense Department’s tally, last updated Friday at 10 a.m. EDT.

The British military has reported 149 deaths; Italy, 33; Ukraine, 18; Poland, 20; Bulgaria, 13; Spain, 11; Denmark, seven; El Salvador, five; Slovakia, four; Latvia, three; Estonia, Netherlands, Thailand, two each; and Australia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Romania, South Korea, one death each.

    Bless Our Soldiers

    I Heart You

Sad is all I can say. American Idol was awful, putrid, one of the worst shows on tv tonite. I actually fell asleep right before Blake started singing with Doug E. Fresh (who, why?). I woke up right at the end of the song tho. The Golden Idol Awards were the most lame, ridiculous waste of time moments in tv history. Bette Midler – what happened to her? My gosh she sounded worse than Sanjaya, why was she waving her arms like a bird? Poor old Tony Bennet looked like a zombie.

The girls with Gladys Night (she still can sing) looked like they had white paper bags on them. Poor Rubin Studdard in his suit next to Jordin seemed to enlarge before our eyes. Taylor Hicks seemed to want to run away as fast as he could. Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson were amazing.

Oh and then the winner was announced finally – it was actually after 10 pm. And I’m sad to say that Blake Lewis didn’t win. Good luck Jordin Sparks – the latest (and possibly) last American Idol. I can see her doing some gooey love songs with that heart shape she makes with her hands – omgosh!

If AI is on again next season, please, please, please get rid of Paula as a judge. She’s not capable of judging her way out of a parking ticket. If she doesn’t have fibro and the brain fog that goes along with it then she is on heavy pain meds that make her unable to speak coherently. Simon said this wil be his last season. The fans just aren’t there like they used to be. So this may be the end.

Blake, ride away in your mustang as far away from AI as you can get. Make an album and you’ll be a star! I’ll buy one or two :)
